My husband was working on getting his HVAC certification at one of our local technical schools when I met him fifteen years ago.
He has always really loved working in the heating and cooling industry, and I can’t say that I would ever see him doing a different kind of job.
He’s always in demand at his HVAC company, and they know what an asset he is to their team. The owners of the HVAC business really try to keep him happy, because they know that he is a customer favorite. Heating and cooling customers call into the office to make appointments for their furnace and air conditioning repairs and maintenance work, and they are always requesting that my husband be the one to come and do the service calls. It’s kind of funny to us. My husband says that he will never be at a loss for a job, because all of the other HVAC companies here in town know about him just by word of mouth throughout the community. He does stay really busy, but I guess that’s a good thing! I know that he loves his job, and the fact that he’s basically able to set his own hours most of the time is a huge bonus for us. The HVAC industry has really provided a nice living for our whole family and I’m thankful that he got his HVAC certification all those years ago when we first met. He’s never really wanted to run his own heating and cooling business, but I bet he would be good at it if he ever decided to branch out on his own.
