I was happy when my son was starting up his own bakery, but he sure did get a run down place.
The place needed to be painted and needed some renovations to be ready to open for the public.
The good news is that he was able to get some quality ovens for baking and he had the right equipment to bake all of his goods. When he was getting to the paint work that needed to be done, I told him he had to make sure to keep plenty of doors and windows open for ventilation. I also explained that while we were renovating some things, we had to turn the HVAC system off. My son said it was really overheated and he wanted the A/C on while doing paint and renovations, but I said he didn’t want any of the debris from the renovations getting into the ductwork system, especially when we were sanding the walls and getting them ready for painting. He ended up listening and he was glad that he listened. The ductwork system and the air filter would have been entirely clogged if we had the cooling system running. Fortunately, we were able to get all the renovations done and the paint looked beautiful by the time we were done. It was a lot of work, but that’s what you have to do when you are trying to save money on a place for your business. The bakery looks really great now and after getting the HVAC system checked out by the professionals, everything is in tip top shape and ready to go!
