For several years our business has been talking about expanding.
They have been dead set on acquiring another facility & spreading our operations across the city. They believed that they could make a lot of extra money if they had a retail space on the west side rather than relying on all of their business in the center of the bustling metropolitan area. I don’t disagree with their planning… But I wish that they were more reasonable with the follow-through. You see, our business ultimately wound up acquiring an outdated building that all of us now have to toil in. The problem is, the air quality is really horrendous. The building that they are utilizing has an seasoned Commercial heating, cooling, & air quality control system that is supposed to supply high-quality indoor air throughout the entire 20,000 foot space. Unfortunately, the Commercial heating, cooling, & ventilation units are clearly older than I am. They do not provide accurate or efficient air quality to a single part of the building! As you walk through the sizable space you notice fluctuating boiling & chilly patches in every room. The air consistently smells enjoy something is burning or growing inside of the ductwork. Worst of all, you cannot easily rely on the heating or cooling system to operate in a consistent & energy efficient manner. Some mornings the air conditioning component & forced air gas furnace work, & some mornings they do not. When our business said they wanted to expand, they should have set aside money for a working Heating & Air Conditioning system.
