For our winter vacation, my friends and I wanted to go to a ski chalet.
There was a ski resort that was several hours away and we wanted to spend two weeks schmoozing with the ski instructors and doing some skiing and having a good time.
They have live bands every night. We started looking for a place to stay and we found this chalet that was more like a house. The cost was high, but it was luxurious, according to the description and it boasted an excellent HVAC system and a fireplace. We put our money together and we rented the chalet. We were all getting excited when we received a call from AirBnB. They told us there was a problem with the chalet we had rented and it was going to take an extra day to have a new heating system to install. They had a couple adjoining rooms in the main lodge which they were able to put us in for the two nights we would be without the chalet. I wasn’t happy with the situation, but we agreed. I told them I wanted to call the ski lodge and see what kind of heating system they had in their rooms. I wanted to have excellent heating no matter where I was staying. I was reminded that it was just for two days and we wouldn’t be in the room that often. Even as I picked up the phone to call the ski lodge, they were still trying to tell me that the heating didn’t really matter because we would be able to start the fireplace. But, what happens if there aren’t any fireplaces in the room?
