I started studying this book the other day about life in the outdated west back a hundred or so years ago, however as I was studying it, I was kneeling outside in the sun on our patio and the weather started heating up a lot.
I got too hot and I decided to go inside into the a/c so I could start cooling off a bit. It was when I turned the page and started studying about the burning hot hot and cold temperatures and the blowing sand that I realized that back then, people didn’t have any nice cool air conditioned homes to escape to when the weather got too hot outside. They just had to suffer and deal with all of the heat and high hot and cold temperatures. I don’t suppose that I could have even lived back then with no heating and cooling chances available to myself and others at all. It must have been genuinely horrible to have to deal with all of the heat, dirt, and dust. Can you imagine how awful the indoor air conditions must have been? I just believe about how all the dust and sand must have gotten into the homes and buildings and they didn’t have any ventilation systems to help with the indoor air conditions at all! At this point in life, I won’t even spend time anywhere that doesn’t have great indoor air conditions. I’m pretty sure I’m spoiled with our overpriced a/c plan and our whole lake house air purification system. I would entirely never have even lasted a day in the outdated west.
