My Grandpa always told me that when you buy something, you get what you pay for, when I was a kid, I never had any idea what he was talking about, it just never made any sense to me… Now that I’m older, though, I can really see what Grandpa meant! The perfect example of this is when I had to buy a new air conditioner system last summer.
The central air conditioning system that was previously in our house had completely conked out.
I assume it was a very outdated model, and I think it had just run its course. When the air conditioning system went out, it was in the middle of the summer. The temperature outside was in the high nineties that month and I can remember being just agitated in the heat. So instead of waiting around and trying to get a great quality HVAC business out to our house to repair the air conditioning system, I went with the quickest and cheapest Heating, Ventilation and A/C supplier in town. They were able to come out very fast because they didn’t have any other appointments lined up. I think that should have been our first clue! The Heating, Ventilation and A/C business didn’t charge me very much for fixing our a/c. I guess it’s because they didn’t really spend that much time on it! And I found out after I got the bill that it was because they didn’t entirely repair it! The air conditioning system worked for a couple of weeks after they came to the condo and then it quit on me again.
