My Grandma always told me that when you buy something, you get what you pay for, and when I was a child, I never had a clue what she was talking about… It just never made any sense to me.
Now that I’m older, though, I can really see what Grandma meant! The perfect example of this is when I had to buy a new air conditioning program last summer season. The central air conditioning program that was previously in my new home had completely conked out. I know it was a old aged a/c, and I know it had just run its course. When the air conditioner went out, it was in the middle of the summer season. The temperature outside was in the hundreds that week and I can remember being just agitated in the heat, then so instead of waiting around and trying to get a great quality HVAC worker out to my new home to repair the air conditioner, I went with the quickest and cheapest HVAC business in town. They were able to come out very suddenly because they didn’t have any other appointments lined up. I know that should have been my first clue! The HVAC workers didn’t charge me very much for fixing my a/c. I know it’s because they didn’t entirely spend that much time on it! And I found out after I got the bill that it was because they didn’t entirely repair it! The air conditioner worked for a couple of weeks after they came to the new home and then it quit on me again.
