I would prefer flip-flops, beach umbrellas, and air conditioning
It feels like we had the shortest summer ever this year. I don’t even feel like we spent any time at the pool or the beach this year at all. As a matter of fact, we only had to run our air conditioning for a month or so this year. The weather didn’t even start heating up until the second half of July. It was a strange, rainy summer, that’s for sure. And while I didn’t miss the high air conditioning bills in my mailbox every month, I did actually miss the high temperatures outside. One of my favorite things to do in the summertime is to go outside, get super hot, and then come inside to cool off in the air conditioning. This year, I didn’t really even have to do that at all. The outside temperatures stayed in the high seventies basically all summer. That’s not even really hot enough to warrant turning the A/C down on the thermostat, in my opinion. And now, the weather outside is already cooling off! It’s already turning into fall, and I haven’t had my fill of summer temperatures yet. I guess I’m just not ready for pumpkins and scarecrows and all of that stuff yet. I would prefer flip-flops, beach umbrellas, and air conditioning. Of course, at this point, I guess I need to go ahead and turn off the air conditioning for the rest of the year and get the furnace ready to go for the fall and winter. I’m not really happy about it, but there’s nothing I can do about it. When the weather starts cooling off, it’s time for the heating to start coming on!
