I have always been a huge computer nerd.
In high school, I spent all of my free time in the computer lab.
I was definitely the teacher’s pet. I was creating websites and working on graphic designs by the time I was fifteen. I knew that I wanted to do something with computers, but I didn’t know what. I decided to attend some college classes on internet marketing and web design. After one class, I decided to start my own online marketing company. It wasn’t very difficult to get started, because I already knew a lot about the internet. I purchased a web name very quickly and found a company to host the pages. I started working on my internet presence, and I created a nice website with information, prices, and samples of my work. I started advertising my internet marketing company on a few online websites. I found a few jobs quickly, but things really started to pick up when I started working with a very large nationally known HVAC provider. I still don’t know how they found my internet marketing website, but they sent me an email. They wanted help redesigning the look and feel of their website, and they wanted to find a company that could also help with internet advertising. I sent some mockups and examples to the HVAC provider. They loved my ideas and gave me a check three days later. The whole project will probably take a full year, but the HVAC provider is compensating me very well for my time. I’ll still have time to work on some additional projects, but the HVAC company is going to take up a bulk of my time. I never planned to become so big so quickly, but all of my dreams are coming true.
