If I was in the room for more than 5 minutes, I had to either walk outside, open a window or go into the bathroom where the central heating was not pumping out too bad.
Too much of anything is not good for anyone. This goes double when it comes to heating. I had gone to stay at this motel while travelling for business last month, and to keep expenses down, you heard me right…it was a motel, not hotel. Motels are usually cheap and seedy places. But this motel was actually half way decent, and in a decent area. The only problem with it was the heating! Like I was saying, too much of anything isn’t good…well, that was the case with this heater they had! You couldn’t control the central heating system in this cheap motel, they had everything on one simple commercial heating and air conditioning system. The heating was so bad, I actually had to check out of there before bedtime. There was no way I could sleep or even stay in this overheated motel room! Just being in there with this overdone central heating was too much to handle. If I was in the room for more than 5 minutes, I had to either walk outside, open a window or go into the bathroom where the central heating was not pumping out too bad. I told the manager of the motel they need to do something about their central heating and air conditioning system. They either have to have thermostats in the rooms for everyone to control themselves, per room. And, if that wasn’t possible, they needed to invest in HVAC zone control to make this possible in their little motel. The place was nice otherwise, so this was a real shame!
