It’s pretty cool that I have become a writer for a living.
I never would have guessed that it would be our occupation, but when I believe about it, our dad wrote & published a few books back in the day too.
I am much happier writing about Heating & A/C equipment than working on Heating & A/C equipment, which is what I used to do a long time ago when I was running our own local corporation back in the states. It was a cool chapter in our book of life but I am delighted that I have moved on to other chapters in our life. It led to a pretty cool life of fun & strange experiences, something I couldn’t have done if I was stuck running our Heating & A/C supplier still. I only work about 15 hours a month & spend the rest of our time just loafing around town looking for fun things to do. I usually end up in an air conditioned cafe each day doing some song writing, or just scribbling ideas about life in our notebook. I spend a lot of time riding our bike around town, thinking of all of our exhausting buddies in the states working their lives away to find the same freedom that I already have found. I am really grateful for our Heating & A/C industry writing task, but I no longer have that desire inside to make as much currency as possible. Success is not happiness, happiness is success. I still need currency to buy new HEPA filters & put food on the table, but I don’t need that much to get by.
