My family sustains an harshly hectic schedule. My partner and I both work full-time jobs that involve time-sensitive projects, quite a bit of overtime and plenty of stress. We have 4 women between the ages of 4 and twelve. All of them play ice hockey. They each have several practices per week, play games on weekends and often need to travel for tournaments. We play hockey all over the northeastern section of the country and up in Canada. Between work, university and hockey, the two of us aren’t beach house all that much. It’s a challenge to find the time to complete normal and necessary household tasks. We struggle to keep up with grocery shopping, laundry, grass mowing and vacuuming. In an effort to simplify a single section of life, the two of us recently updated to a smart control unit. We no longer are required to remember to adjust temperature before leaving the house for the day. My family doesn’t return to an hot or frosty house. The control component uses something called geofencing to track the location of family iphones. It knows when the two of us enter or leave a particular radius around the house and automatically adjusts temperature. The up-to-date control component has improved our comfort, reduced responsibilities and signifiantly trimmed expenses. I prefer that the two of us can always access the setting and programs through a handy app on our iphones. Plus, the two of us receive alerts if there is a problem, power outage or unexplained temperature swing. We receive reminders to change filters and schedule professionals service. The control component provides energy tracking, energy saving tips and responds to voice commands. It’s much more attractive and technologically advanced than the seasoned control component and yet easier to use.
