After my husband left, I wanted to sell the home.
I didn’t need a several-kitchen condo for just me.
I was going to buy a tiny condo plus transport into my daughter’s backyard. Everyone thought I was crazy, but all my husband left myself and others when he left was the home. He said my parents had given us the down payment, plus he wasn’t taking it away from me. I guess it was more appreciate his girlfriend already owned a home, plus he didn’t need several, but that was just my thought. When the realtor came into the house, her first comment was that I had to have central Heating & A/C installed in the house. I had several window air conditioning units, plus they had cooled the entire condo for twenty years. Why I needed to install ductwork plus central air conditioning was beyond me. I told her that if the buyers wanted central Heating & A/C, they would need to have it installed. I laughed when she said it would take away from the cost of the house. It would not be any weird from my taking money I didn’t have, plus having the Heating & A/C installed. I said I would blissfully come down in price by $15,000, but I didn’t have that kind of money to have the Heating & A/C plan installed. She tried to tell myself and others that no one was going to buy a condo that needed that kind of toil done to it. I thanked her for coming to the house, but I was going to look for another realtor. Six weeks later, I got my full asking price, plus no one said a word about needing to install central Heating & A/C.
