Grandma doesn’t approve of the heated flooring

I do a lot of things around the home that I purchased a few years ago.

I don’t have much for my family besides my parents and my grandma.

My parents live a few hundred miles away and my grandma up till a few months ago wasn’t able to live on her own anymore. She didn’t want to go into a nursing home and she wanted to be close to the family that she still had locally. So I decided to step up and gave her one of my rooms. It’s not a huge deal, I have three rooms and two of them were completely empty before she moved in. Her room is on the first floor which is nice for her. Walking up the stairs would be a chore for her. I’m also cheerful that I have two full bathrooms in this home or that would be a struggle! Last week I got in contact with the heating and cooling company and they sent out a heating tech. I wanted to install radiant floors for the home because frankly, I do not care for the cold. I especially do not care for my feet being cold. They installed them and my grandma wasn’t cheerful at all with the installation. She is very old school and having radiant floors felt wrong to her. I know she is a traditionalist and she doesn’t like change that often, but this is a wonderful add-on to the house. She had some fits about it but after a few months when h temperatures started to drop, her complaints turned into smiles. She went from hating to loving the radiant floors. Sometimes it takes a little time for someone to appreciate a change but when they do like my Grandma, it is worth it.
