I absolutely hate gas furnaces.
- I don’t believe that I hate any other kind of gas furnace more than the propane gas furnace, but maybe that is because my cabin is full of propane gas furnaces, plus I suppose their flaws more than any other gas furnace! First of all, all propane gas gas furnaces make your cabin have a distinct smell… Every propane gas furnace is different, plus not all of the gas gas furnaces smell as awful as others, but eventually, the propane will make your cabin smell a particular way.
However, the concern of the smell is not nearly as awful as the main issue with propane heating. The main trouble with propane gas gas furnaces is that it relies on you making sure that you have enough propane. Since propane tanks are not as sizable as natural gas tanks, you have to get them filled more often. While you might try to stay on top of filling the propane tanks for your gas furnace, the possibilities are that you might forget to fill a tank one week, plus you will run out of propane. It seems that your gas furnace will shut off in the middle of the night more than any other time. I can’t tell you how many times last year that I had my gas furnace stop laboring because I was out of propane. However, this doesn’t just happen when you run out of propane, then periodically, the propane will just have a random issue that will shut off your gas furnace. I wish that I had a proper gas furnace like everyone else.
