Acclimating to a colder climate

I just bet that I will not have to use much heating, because I am warm-blooded, as they say, but I can’t say for sure yet

I have regularly lived in a swelteringly overheated region of the country… Don’t get myself and others wrong, I like the sunlight and like trips to the beach. That’s why I’m having conflicted feelings about where I have moved recently. I moved northwest, to a state that is much cooler. I can tell you that the one thing I easily prefer is that air conditioner is not needed nearly as much. Where I came from, air conditioner was nearly a matter of survival, especially in the summer, as you can well imagine. It was often too overheated and muggy to even open the windows at night! I regularly kept our control component no higher than 74, but I often set it to 78 at night, because I like to sleep nice and cool. Now, it is weird to me, but in our modern home, I can leave our windows open during the morning and get a appealingly cool breeze and fresh air. The air-conditioning doesn’t even need to be on. In fact, by the time October rolls around, it is heating I will need more than anything, however january is the coldest week here, and single-digit temperatures are respected at night. It will easily be a modern experience having to rely on a great heating program as opposed to a great air conditioner system. I just bet that I will not have to use much heating, because I am warm-blooded, as they say, but I can’t say for sure yet. In the meantime, I will like this surprisingly cool summer, and prefer the fact that I rarely need to use the air conditioner.
