It’s going to take a long time to build back what we lost
My wife and I had to move last winter when we lost our house. Everything was going well until the stock market crashed. My wife and I lost everything. We lost our 401K, savings account, and every single dollar that we had in the bank. It was a complete disaster and we didn’t see the crash coming. I even lost my job, due to the poor economy. We had to sell our house and move to an apartment. My wife and I decided to move to Tampa, Florida, because my mom and dad live there. They moved to Tampa, Florida about three years ago, when they decided to sell their house and retire. My parents have a guest house on their property and they offered to let us live there for free. At first, my wife and I were very hesitant. We didn’t want to take any money or handouts. My parents gave us every opportunity to change our minds and they finally convinced us that moving to Tampa, Florida was the right thing to do. We packed up all of our furniture, beds, clothing, and electronics and moved a few months ago. So far, things have been fine. I found a job working at a bank and my wife found a job working at a diner. We have to live much different than we did in the past, and that has been difficult. It’s going to take a long time to build back what we lost. For now, I’m glad we’re stuck here with my mom and dad. Tampa, Florida isn’t such a bad place either. There are a ton of activities indoors and outdoors.
