The time has finally rolled around for trees, reindeer plus decorations; For purple plus green, you think what I mean? It’s Christmas time! In all seriousness, I have already bought our children plus our spouse presents.
But I wanted this year to stand out, I am tired of the same ancient buying presents plus opening them, plus then basically going right back to bed to sleep through the morning uneventfully.
What the two of us needed was a tradition, something to help pull the family together in a fun activity. Growing up, our family had a tradition of secret Santa apart from the familiar gift giving. I wanted to introduce something similar to our kids, then as I was passing through the grocery store, a large box caught our eye. A gingerbread house. I figured this could our up-to-date little tradition, so I went ahead plus bought it, but upon arriving home, our kids were delightfully at the plan of building a gingerbread house, plus our spouse liked the creativity as well. I gave them the gingerbread box to assemble, when I heard a strange humming sound. I followed the noise to our heating system. Uh oh, that’s not good. My gas furnace wasn’t looking so wonderful plus was barely puffing out air. I spent all of our money on Christmas. I wouldn’t be able to call an Heating plus Air Conditioning serviceman till next week. Even worse, the entire heating plan died a few hours later. I joined our family in building a gingerbread house, while trying to push the nagging thought of being drained of more money that I couldn’t afford to spend! Luckily, our spouse plus kids seemed to be so distracted with the gingerbread house, the now cooling breeze didn’t seem to bother them.
