Concert venue is overheated without air conditioning

I am ready for the weather to change. It feels as if the Summer has been going on forever. I can’t remember the last time there was a day that wasn’t extremely hot & humid. There’s never a cloud in the sky or hint of a cool breeze. There’s been nothing but endless sunshine, heat & humidity day after day. In the spring, I look forward to this kind of weather and am in a rush to spend time outside in the sunshine. However, after several straight months of this, I’m ready for a change of weather. I’d like some cool relief from the heat. I wasn’t happy when some friends of mine and I ended up at a concert with no air conditioning. We attended a local rock concert & I was excited for it. Walking across the parking lot, the evening air was unusually cool & refreshing. I still expected the venue to be running the air conditioner. When we stepped inside the door, we were hit by a wall of hot & sticky air. Inside the concert hall, the temperature had to be nearly a hundred degrees. The crowd had clearly added body heat. I immediately began to sweat. We decided to head up to the balcony, hoping there might be better access to air conditioning vents up there. However, the conditions were worse. We then tried hanging out near the bar, hoping there would be extra ventilation in that area. The conditions were just as overheated. No matter where we one stood, there was no access to air conditioning. It made for a very hot, sticky and unpleasant experience.
