When my wife plus I first got married, our condo was the perfect size for the 2 of us. Over the years, we’ve added multiple children plus 2 pets to our family. The condo became terribly cramped. Both of us decided the kids needed to each have their own rooms, which necessitated a sizeable addition. The most difficult section of our project was determining how to handle temperature control. In the section where every one of us live, the weather is severe just about all year round. Both of us need some style of whole-condo heating plus cooling system. The existing condo was already equipped with a forced air oil furnace plus central air conditioner. Both of us considered extending the duct method to the new space however were reluctant to sacrifice square footage plus invest so much currency… Plus, every one of us anxious that the smaller oil furnace plus air conditioner wouldn’t be able to handle the extra demand. Both of us started looking into an option that could be installed without a huge drain on our budget, after some research, I came across ductless systems. A ductless heat pump provides both heating plus cooling capacity. A single outdoor compressor links to up to multiple individual air handlers. The air handlers are mounted up high on the wall plus feature a separate temperature control. This allows the temperature in each room to be customized to personal preference. The ductless heating plus cooling method includes inverter technology that automatically adapts speeds to demand. The method is able to run longer at lower speeds, conserving energy plus offering more even temperature. The ductless multi-chop method provided the ideal solution to the needs of our condo addition.
