I tried to work on the HVAC equipment before calling the HVAC professionals
I’m not one for reading all of the fine print all of the time. That’s not the way it once was. I can remember going over every little detail of anything that required my signature. Don’t even get me started about the details I check when it comes to working inside the zone controlled HVAC of the office. I’m a detail hunter inside the commercial HVAC because my job depends on it. But with the advent of all the tech stuff in our life, I’ve gotten somehow comfortable with just clicking the accept terms button. I mean, if I had to read every little bit of all the terms of use agreements, I don’t know if I’d even get to the details I take care of at work. This just clicking on accepting terms is not a great habit. And I learned the hard way that diving into the details is not relegated to the zone controlled HVAC of the office. Ironically, it was heating and cooling equipment that turned me into the need for paying attention to the details at home as well as the office. When we had the residential HVAC replaced in our home, I was just ecstatic to have all the new HVAC technology that I had wanted for years. So I really didn’t pay attention to the details of the HVAC warranty. And it’s really a shame that I didn’t. The only thing I did with the HVAC warranty was get it registered with the HVAC factory. Had I read the HVAC warranty like a normal person, I would have seen an important fact. I tried to work on the HVAC equipment before calling the HVAC professionals. And that is clearly a no no in the HVAC warranty. So I no longer have that protection.
