Cleanliness is something that I take really seriously.
It’s been this way all of my life.
Neither of my parents had to get on me about getting off my butt in the HVAC and go clean my room. My room was always clean and organized. And, I loved to help my mom with all of the other cleaning efforts in the house. This is just a part of my character or make up or something. Now that I have a home and family of my own, I am still don’t lounge in the HVAC but rather keep things organized and clean. It’s just that it is a bit tougher given that I also have a full time career to consider. So, while I make sure we are keeping things up and putting stuff where it belongs, the deep cleaning is a bit more sporadic. My family and I tend to take several hours over the weekend to really get into a deep cleaning mode. It occurred to me during one of these deep cleaning sessions that the HVAC ducts could use the same once over. I hadn’t ever cleaned the HVAC air ducts and didn’t really know just how to do that. So, I called the HVAC people and they put me in touch with a duct cleaning company. This crew was great. They came out and completely cleaned and resealed all the joints on the ductwork system. Now, I know that every part of my home is getting the deep cleaning attention that should be expected. Plus, I now know how to get the ducts clean and will make this an annual event.
