I really hate heating systems.
I don’t think that I hate any other kind of heating system more than the propane heating system, but maybe that is because my house is full of propane heating systems, and I recognize their flaws more than any other heating system.
First of all, all propane heating systems make your house have a distinct smell. Every propane heating system is different, and not all of the heating systems smell as bad as others, but eventually, the propane will make your house smell a certain way. However, the problem of the smell is not nearly as bad as the main issue with propane heating. The main trouble with propane heating systems is that it relies on you making sure that you have enough propane. Since propane tanks are not as large as natural gas tanks, you have to get them filled more often. While you might try to stay on top of filling the propane tanks for your heating system, the chances are that you might forget to fill a tank one week, and you will run out of propane. It seems that your heating system will shut off in the middle of the night more than any other time. I can’t tell you how many times last year that I had my heating system stop working because I was out of propane. However, this doesn’t just happen when you run out of propane. Sometimes, the propane will just have a random issue that will shut off your heating system. I wish that I had a regular heating system like everyone else.
