Over the last several years, my home has become like an aviary. I have fifteen birds in my home and they range from one macaw to twelve parakeets. I also have a couple of parrots that my neighbor gave to me when her sister passed away. It is getting to the point that having birds in my home, is quite noticeable. I am having trouble with my HVAC system and the air quality has quickly declined. I change my air filters quite often because of all of the dander and feathers from the birds. I like to keep the cage doors open so they have the ability to fly when they want to. This means that there are feathers all over and some definite bird leftovers. I am always cleaning up the food that has been pushed out of the cages. When I last cleaned the air filter, it was almost clogged and I had just changed it two weeks earlier. The air quality is really bad in the house now and I can smell the house before I open the door. I am sure I will soon be getting some phone calls from the neighbors.
