When I finally turned 16 & got my first job, I was able to get in on a job at an Heating & A/C business.
This wasn’t just any Heating & A/C facility though, this facility was the most well known Heating & A/C producer in the world! I was so thrilled to be really working there, especially for my first job, then i had little experience really working with gas furnaces, air conditioners, & media air purification systems, however after only two or three weeks there, I knew the basic really workings of most Heating & A/C devices.
When I turned 18 I decided to go to college to get a degree in Heating & A/C mechanics. I completed my degree & came right back to the Heating & A/C facility in my hometown where I got my first job & they hired myself and others to be one of their travelling Heating & A/C mechanics. I was more than happy to have gotten in so quickly & did my best to be the best Heating & A/C mechanic I could! After a few years of really working with this same Heating & A/C dealer, I became the head Heating & A/C mechanic and was moved to a high management position. I loved that I got to make cash doing what I really enjoyed, working on air conditioners, gas furnaces, & other Heating & A/C units. It has now been 20 years since I first started really working for this Heating & A/C dealer, & now I have the chance to become CEO of the dealer. While this is an amazing opportunity, I am split between two different things. If I become CEO, I will be managing the Heating & A/C professionals & no longer doing what I love, fixing Heating & A/C units. I had to choose between money, & what I liked doing. In the end I chose to keep my management position & keep really working on Heating & A/C units. I decided it was better to be glad than rich.
