Now that the kids are out of the house we can finally make some of the changes we have wanted to do for years.
We wanted to make our home less kid friendly.
Not that we didn’t love having and raising our kids but we wanted some space of our own. The kids rooms were being made into a home office, art studio and guest room. We also decided to as on a Florida room with a hot tub. This addition would require a bit more planning that just redecorating the rooms that were already in the house. The main thing that we needed to find out was how to provide perfect climate control in the new room as well as supply the fuel source to heat the water in the new hot tub. We already have a boiler system to provide heat for the house and because we use natural gas we hoped that we could just expand that system. The new space and hot tub would need additional equipment it turned out but we were happy to learn that we could us an on demand hot water unit to provide heat for the room and the hot tub. Our HVAC dealer has been great and pointed us in the direction of the perfect equipment for that and advised us to install a mini split unit for cooling too. We are amazed at the way new technology can do so much with so little equipment. We are totally looking forward to our new living spaces and hope that the kids are too offended that we have taken over the whole house now that they are gone.
