I really thought there would be a lot of benefits if I were to start working from home.
I loved that I had the option and I wanted to take my boss up on it.
I had to drive an hour to work and an hour home. If I worked from home, I wouldn’t need to take the car anywhere. There would be no more rushing around to get the kids on the bus, get myself ready for work and get to work on time. I put a lot of stress on my car during the winter and the summer. I thought I would be putting some money in the bank since I wouldn’t be driving anymore and I wouldn’t need to have a huge business wardrobe. I loved being able to work in my pajamas and being able to get right to work when they kids went to school. I didn’t like that after the first full month at home, I got my energy bill and it had gone up. I was really upset with this. I thought I would be saving money, but I was spending more. I realized that without Zone Control, I was keeping my thermostat set the same all day long. There weren’t any long periods of time where the HVAC system was put on hold. I had the air conditioning on constantly and it was cooling the entire house. I knew that I had to do something and I called the HVAC company about installing Zone Control He told me it was a simple process and when he gave me the cost, I was shocked. I expected the installation of Zone Control to be much more expensive.
