There are some life skills that are honestly not taught in university! For instance, did you actually know that you are supposed to get your dryer vents and HVAC duct cleaned out every couple of years? I didn’t even know that.
I have been living in this household for 5 years now and had no clue about this.
I knew you were supposed to change the air filter in your Heating and A/C device and detach the lint from the dryer trap however that is all that I thought you had to do. But then our dryer quit working one day! When I removed the lint trap I noticed that some of the lint was entirely burnt. I assumed I needed a brand new dryer until a friend told me I should get our dryer vent cleaned out and see if that solves the complication! She then proposed a Heating and A/C supplier that she has used. I was shocked to see that it was a Heating and A/C supplier that was proposed and not an appliance supplier. But I gave them a call, and that’s when I was able to learn that the dryer vent and our Heating and A/C HVAC duct all need to be cleaned professionally every couple of years. I made the choice to schedule a cleaning for both. The Heating and A/C device supplier came out a few days later and now our dryer is entirely working again. The air in our household seems much cleaner as well now. I found out that jammed up HVAC ducts can end up destroying a Heating and A/C device. Heating and A/C systems cost a great deal more than a dryer. So I am ecstatic I now know more about household care.
