If you ask me, there’s three ways to make anyone lose their cool very quickly.
First, get them wet – either by spilling something on them, pushing them into an open water source, or whatever way you could think of.
Then, get them inside a room with plenty of airflow, or out in the open on a cold day. Finally, deny them any source of heat! That sounds pretty barbaric, right? Well, it was unfortunately what I was subjected to when I went on a small vacation out of the city. I stayed at this lovely little cabin on the side of a mountain in February, so it was very cold. They had a small pool outside the cabin, but it was covered for the season. Well, one day I accidentally fell into the pool as I was walking outside and looking at my phone! When I finally emerged from the icy waters, I ran to the door to enter and grab towels. To make matters worse, the door was locked! I somehow locked myself out, with the only means of entering the cabin being through a window. I yearned for a furnace, a boiler system, or even just a space heater to keep me warm while I scrambled to find a way into the cabin. After twenty minutes, I finally found an open window to enter the house, where I plopped down in front of a space heater to dry me out and warm me up. The air quality in the cabin slowly improved as feeling returned to my fingers and toes. You can bet that I slept with the fireplace lit up with a roaring fire that night.
