My cooling system probably needs refrigerant

I’ve been having a pretty lousy day.

Ever since I got up, I have been feeling incredibly overheated.

When I checked the thermostat, it was showing 84 degrees inside the house. No matter what settings I put the thermostat on, I wasn’t getting any frosty air from the HVAC system. Sure, there was air flowing but it was hot air. I called the HVAC company and unfortunately, they said they can’t make it until the following day. So here I am stuck just dying from the heat. I have put my head in the freezer a few times to just get some cooling relief that way. It helps for a short while but then I’m right back to being overheated and miserable. I don’t really know what is wrong with my cooling system, but I figure it could be a coolant leak or something like that. I can’t really think of any other reason why my cooling system would be blowing out nothing but overheated air. I think it might be a coolant problem because I remember when this happened to me with my car. The A/C quit working and I wasn’t sure what was wrong with it. When I talked to my buddy about the issue, he said I probably just needed refrigerant. He actually had a spare refrigerant kit and he helped me to refill my car with the coolant. When it was filled, the A/C was ice-cold again, and I was amazed at how easy it was. I wish I could do the same thing with my HVAC system.
