For quite some time, we have been dealing with an HVAC system that is basically on its last legs.
I have told my husband that we need to get a new HVAC system, but he just shrugs and says it can go a few more years.
I don’t know what he is thinking, considering the fact that we are paying tons of money fixing this old HVAC all the time. Not to mention the energy bills have been soaring through the roof and I’m not sure how much longer we can deal with this inefficient HVAC machine. Finally when we had an HVAC worker over, I told the man to please inform my husband that we could use an HVAC system upgrade. The HVAC worker started telling my husband about the $5,000 rule. If the cost to fix the HVAC system times 10 was over that amount, then it would be a good idea to replace the system. Well this recent HVAC repair was going to cost us roughly $550, and that was insane. Finally my husband agreed that it was getting really pricey and he supposed that we could upgrade the HVAC system. It was about time! We didn’t get anything extravagant because our finances were a little bit tight. I honestly didn’t care, any new HVAC system was going to be better than the one we were working with. When the HVAC workers asked if they could haul away the old HVAC unit, I said yes while my husband was hesitant. I told them not to listen to my husband and to just take the old piece of junk.
