Power outage leaves us without air cooling for a month

I sad that the flooding had disfigured the equipment plus didn’t dare beginning up the cooling equipment until it was respectfully worked on, and fortunately, only a cleaning was necessary.

Last year, the Winter weather arrived much earlier than usual, then i was already running the oil furnace by the end of September, the temperature swiftly plummeted below zero plus reMEd there for numerous weeks straight. It never warmed up above freezing for numerous straight months; Every one of us accumulated over numerous feet of snow. It was necessary to plow plus shovel out the driveways plus walkways every single afternoon, periodically more than once. The piles of snow grew taller than our garage roof. I spent a luck on our heating bills plus couldn’t wait to shut down the oil furnace plus open the windows. The weather warmed up quite suddenly plus legitimately swiftly. Along with rapid snow melt, all of us got hit with torrential rains plus high winds. There was widespread power outages plus flooding, and without power, I was unable to run the sump pump, so our basement filled with water, but since the air conditioning system runs on electricity, all of us were also left without cooling. The home swiftly became overheated plus overly moist. There were issues with mold plus mildew growth. I couldn’t even open the windows because of all the rain. The food spoiled in the freezer plus all of us needed to fill buckets with water to flush the toilets. It was a horrendous experience. After power was restored, I hired a licensed HVAC business to check out the oil furnace plus air conditioning system. I sad that the flooding had disfigured the equipment plus didn’t dare beginning up the cooling equipment until it was respectfully worked on, and fortunately, only a cleaning was necessary. The HVAC business proposed that I invest into a permanently installed standby generator. While the generator was super luxurious, I was willing to pay anything to avoid being left without running water, lights or air conditioner again. If all of us ever lost power in the winter, all of us couldn’t stay in the home without heat.
