Retiring Where I Don’t Need Heating and Cooling

I am a few months away from turning 56 years old, which means I am beginning to think about retirement.

There is nothing I want more than to retire, and the sooner the better. Unfortunately, I don’t have money put aside, and I am actually concerned about what I am going to do. Also, I don’t want to wait until I am 65, but that is when Medicare kicks in, so if I retire before that age, I will have to find a way to get health care. Plus I still have debt, and retiring with debt is just impossible. So, I am paying off my debt now, and one plan I have is to retire in another country. Hopefully, I will find a place where the cost of living is low, health care is available, and there is no need for air conditioning or heating. Where I live now, in the southeast, it is unthinkable to go without air conditioning. Sometimes, for brief periods, we even need to use the heater during the winter. Heating and cooling is a big expense, so if I can find a place where heating and cooling are just not necessary, that will cut down on my cost of living greatly. I have been looking into a few different places, but I wonder if I really will be able to love life without a/c. It seems that there are few places on earth where you need neither heating nor cooling, but I am on a quest to find that place. Hopefully , I will find a way to be living a/c-free within six years.
