Watching a lot of old TV shows from way back in my spare time is something I really enjoy doing.
This is what actually helps me wind down at night after an overly long day at work.
I usually come home from work very late in the evening because I work a second shift job. When i come home, I just want to eat dinner, sit on the couch and watch a great old TV show, and enjoy my central heating and air conditioning system. And speaking of central heating and air conditioning, I was watching a show the other night from the 1970’s, and in the background, I had seen an old window air conditioning unit! It really made me think, how much even window air conditioning systems have advanced in the last 40 plus years! This window air conditioning system in the background on the TV show looked like a cheap plastic thing with a little air vent in it. How they were actually able to cool a room with a window air conditioning system that looked like that is beyond me. Maybe it was just for the show? Maybe it was a prop? Who knows! But I can even remember when I was a kid back in those days, the portable air conditioning systems we had didn’t look that cheap! Not to mention, those portable air conditioning systems from back then that I was around could for sure cool an entire room. That was all there was for air conditioning. Only in commercial buildings would you find central heating and air conditioning systems in those golden days.
