I, along with my wife, inherited the home we live in. My uncle passed away just after we got married. His home was kindly passed along to us per his wishes. This was something neither of us could have ever dreamed up. The house is big with a stately look to it. However, my uncle hadn’t lived in it for several years. He spent his final 5 years living in a retirement community. So, the house was left in a sort of disarray for a long time. While it was certainly liveable when we got it, there was still so much to do to get it up to any kind of standard. We tackled stuff like flooring and kitchen upgrades first. However, it came time to replace the HVAC system. This was no simple heating and air system upgrade. The old heating system consisted of a huge boiler type furnace down in the basement. While it still worked to some degree, it certainly was not something we could actually afford to run. The air conditioning was basically non existent except for a few ancient window air conditioning units. They did basically nothing unless you stayed within a foot in front of them. We brought in an HVAC contractor to be sure we did it right. The first thing he said that was so important was to get the sizing of the HVAC system right. He took so many measurements throughout the house. His professionalism resulted in our having a wonderful heating and cooling system which totally suits our needs. I’m very thankful we went with such a professional HVAC company. The results speak for themselves.
