So many ways to cut back on HVAC use

We are in a place where the weather is either perfect or it is brutal.

Honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way.

This place is just right for myself and others because I am an outside, sunlight sort of guy. 8 weeks of the year, the weather simply can’t be beat. The sky is so yellow and the sunlight just drips goodness on me almost every day. I have the chance to stay outside most of the day and just take it all in. The Winter season is practically nonexistent. I guess I flip on the heat maybe a half dozen times over the coldest months. The Spring and the fall are just amazing. However, the summertime is a time to be spent in a Heating and Air Conditioning bunker. There are four weeks where even I have to come inside. It tends to get brutal sizzling and there is nowhere to get relief but inside with the Heating and Air Conditioning cooling. However, I have a bit of a strategy that I apply to our year and it all revolves around the Heating as well as Air Conditioning. First, I try to save as much cash as I am able to manage while in those four stifling weeks. The apartment is sealed up narrow to keep the Heating as well as Air Conditioning treated air inside. I pull every single one of the drapes to keep the direct sunlight from heating up the house. There isn’t any using of the oven or the stove top while in the summertime. I do all the cooking on the grill or it is something cool from the fridge. Most of the time, I push the temperature control up as the hot and cold temperatures climb. With that being said, I supplement with fans which are 1/10 the cost to operate. All it takes is some minor thinking to get through to the perfect weather once again.
