Taking my time finding the right HVAC

The first time buying a HVAC unit is intimidating.

I had no clue where to start.

I didn’t know what type of heating and cooling system I wanted. It was very tempting to just get what I had before. I know that times have changed and HVAC equipment is probably more efficient. Perhaps there are features in a different equipment piece that I might like. So I did a ton of research before buying my HVAC unit. I looked at all the different options in the heating and cooling field. I never realized how many ways there are to heat and cool a house. There is radiant flooring, boilers, furnaces, fireplaces and hea tpumps just to name a few. For cooling you can do central air, ductless and high velocity. What one was right for me? After choosing the right HVAC equipment, I needed to find the brand and SEER rating as well. Even after all that was done, who is going to provide this product and the HVAC installation? Finding the right HVAC company was as important as the equipment. I knew my HVAC technician would be called back for regular HVAC service and repairs. I needed to find a company that offered good HVAC maintenance programs and deals. I wanted them to have an A+ rating with the BBB, NATE certified technicians and offer Carrier brand products. I finally found the right company for the job. It took me months, but I ended up with a good HVAC business and equipment in my home.
