Taking the offer

When I was driving by this one neighborhood the other day I passed a house that had a sign.

  • This sign said HVAC for sale.

I was wondering what it actually meant. Surely someone couldn’t have been selling an actual central heating and air conditioning system! Or could they have been? I took down the phone number on that sign that said HVAC for sale and decided to give it a call when I got home. I had been looking to buy a brand new central heating and air conditioning system because mine had not been working very well the last year or so. When I called the phone number to inquire about the HVAC for sale sign, lo and behold, they were selling a central heating and air conditioning system! The guy that lived there was a former heating and air conditioning specialist. He told me he had a single central heating and air conditioning unit that was used but in perfect working order. Of course I would have to hire someone to pick it up and move it. Then I would have to hire the local heating and air conditioning company to install the central heating and cooling unit. But the price he was offering was really good! I would not have been able to find a central heating and air conditioning system this cheap anywhere else in the country. So naturally I went for it. We set up the pick up and payment for the used central heating and air conditioning system the following weekend.
