I went to a single of my co-worker’s dwellings for a Christmas celebration.
I’m not particularly close with this person, however most people from the office made the choice to go & I didn’t want to be the 1 guy that didn’t show up at the celebration.
I decided to bring a gift for the secret santa giveaway that the host was having. I arrived roughly a half an hour after the celebration started. I spoke with a couple of people in the room that I was familiar with. I talked with some pals & after that I made my way to the food table. I had a couple of jalapeno poppers & a little bit of shrimp. Right before most people were getting ready to do the Secret Santa giveaway, I excused myself to use the facilities… Someone was in the first hall bathroom, so I used the next bathroom at the end of the hall. This room did not look quite as wiped as the other bathroom. Clearly someone took time to make the other bathroom look entirely pretty, however this 1 was dirty & nasty entirely. The towels stinked badly & the Heating & A/C ducting vents were disgusting. It was covered with a fair amount of dust. It looked pretty much like it had not been cleaned in a year. I was horrified when I saw the Heating & A/C ducting vent in such brutal condition. I didn’t want to eat anything else from the celebration. I made an excuse to leave after that & I went back to my dwelling to watch reruns of the office. I felt that it was honestly appropriate to watch the episode about the supper celebration after. That episode regularly makes me laugh a good amount, even if this supper celebration did not.
