A flyer from the gym arrived the other day, plus it was an advertisement for the new swimming pool. My family plus I actually belong to the gym, plus we pay a fee every month so everyone can use the facilities… The gym membership fee includes use of all the machines as well as workout equipment. The gym has free weights, treadmills, stationary bikes, plus even a few rowing machines. The gym membership fee also includes fitness classes, and our gym offers multiple classes, though I have never been to a single one… I suppose they have a zumba class plus I suppose they offer yoga for beginners. A few months back, the gym added an indoor pool. Most of my friends plus neighbors belong to the gym, and everyone was gleeful about the indoor pool, until we discovered that the gym membership fees were going to rise significantly. My family plus I already pay $99 a month for our gym membership fee. If we wish to add unlimited use of the indoor pool, our gym membership fee is going to be $139 each and every month. That’s a sizable increase for use of the indoor pool. I’m not certain that we will use the pool enough to make up for the difference, but when the flyer arrived in the mail, it was just another reminder that the dues were going to go up soon. I haven’t even decided if I’m going to pay the increase or do without the pool. If I look around at other gyms, I think I might decide to go somewhere else. There are all kinds of choices I can make, but I need to start looking soon.
