Upgrading to zone control

My house offers approximately more than two thoUSAnd square feet of residing space.

It was built sometime during the early 1900s and is rather hard to heat and cool.

The winters in our local section are long, snowy and chilly cold. The summers are shorts and tepid and humid. Temperature control is pressing all year round. When our wife and I first bought the house, there was a single control component located in the residing room. The residing room was always the ideal temperature. The home offices on the upper floor were often tepid and muggy while the kitchen tended to be frosty. We needed a way to simplify tempertare control. We were payingto heat or cool a bunch of empty rooms to the perfedt temperature. There were fights over the temperature setting. About a year ago, the two of us finally updated to zone control. An Heating and A/C corporation installed a series of valves into the air duct to control airflow. She also added a control component to each room. Through an app on our iphone, I’m able to raise or lower the temperature in each room. Having zone control accommodates each family member’s preference for comfort. While the improvement was a significant investment, it’s paying for itself in energy savings. The gas furnace and cooling system no longer need to work as strenuous and therefor use less energy. I pay less in utility billls. I prefer that I am not required to walk to the residing room to access the control unit. I can make adjustments to the identifiable room temperature through an app on our iphone.
