Upgrading to zone control

My condo offers approximately more than two thoUSAnd square feet of living space.

It was built sometime while in the early 1900s plus is rather hard to heat plus cool.

The winters in my local area are long, snowy plus cold cold. The summers are shorts plus overheated plus humid. Temperature control is pressing all year round. When my hubby plus I first purchased the house, there was a single temperature control situated in the living room. The living room was constantly the ideal temperature. The dining rooms on the upper floor were often overheated plus muggy while the dining room tended to be freezing. Both of us needed a way to simplify tempertare control. Both of us were payingto heat or cool a bunch of empty rooms to the perfedt temperature. There were fights over the temperature setting. About a year ago, all of us finally upgraded to zone control. An HVAC business installed a series of valves into the air duct to control airflow. He also added a temperature control to each room. Through an app on my iPhone, I’m able to raise or lower the temperature in each room. Having zone control accommodates each family member’s preference for comfort. While the improvement was a significant investment, it’s paying for itself in energy savings. The gas furnace plus air conditioner no longer need to work as hard plus therefor use less energy. I pay less in utility billls. I like that I am not required to walk to the living room to access the temperature control. I can make adjustments to the unique room temperature through an app on my iPhone.
