I love having barbecues regardless of the time of the year. I grew up in the midwest in a corn town where we had lots of barbecues centered around sporting events. It was a huge part of my childhood and one of the key ways in which people related to one another in that sort of environment. And even though the neighborhood I grew up in wasn’t consisting of the wealthiest people, we all contributed to these barbecues and families would each bring a different portion of the meal. It was a good way for all of us to bond and give back to one another. Like how the children always got a good chance to play, and that’s where I met a lot of my friends. Needless to say I really enjoy going to barbecues at friend’s homes, but I’ve been holding them at mine in the last few weeks even though it’s the Autumn season. I bought these outdoor space heaters that run off of propane. They’re large and they’re the same ones that you find in outdoor restaurants and bars. I actually purchased them from a restaurant that was closing down in my city. I got them for a really good price because they were used. Now I can have any barbecues I want on my outside porch deck regardless of the temperature. It’s really convenient having these available. My friends are skeptical when I ask them if they want to come to my outdoor barbecues because it’s so cold out the temperatures are low. They don’t even realize I have outdoor space heaters until I tell them.
