Business was already struggling and time away from work made it impossible to keep up with all of the bills.
I got sick first and I had to spend a week away from the family. My wife got sick right after I started to feel better. The kids were with their grandparents for three months during that time so they would not get sick. We had to take out a government loan to cover all of the expenses from the business. We were closed for a while. When we reopen for business, I thought that we should figure out a way to boost sales. I spoke with a company that handles marketing and advertising. The company suggested they could do a marketing campaign for the HVAC business for a small amount of money up front. If the advertising worked well, then we would have to pay higher fees to continue with the company. The deal sounded like a winner and I didn’t think there was any way that we could lose. If the advertising did not work, then we didn’t have to continue with the marketing company. We tried things out for a month. We let the company make changes to our website. They added keywords to help increase power presence on the internet. That worked very well. After a month, we were much more easily found online when people searched for heating, cooling, refrigeration, and other HVAC service providers in our city.
