To think that I even have a weekend house is something that I can still not really get my head around.
That might have something to do with the fact that I come from very humble beginnings.
When you grow up without residential HVAC or new clothes, it does tend to sort of affect you. I know that I was always aware of my money and still am. Still, I didn’t think that my little business would turn into what it is. What started out as an experiment inside the central air conditioning of my house, is something I can hardly believe. After a couple of decades, we now have offices in a downtown building that even have zone controlled HVAC. I can still hardly believe it. But none of this has come without a great deal of effort and sacrifice. I think that’s why it’s just so much easier for me to leave a lot of the day to day stuff in the capable hand of those inside that zone controlled HVAC. I have great people running my business and that is a huge burden lifted from me. Plus, my wife and I really don’t have much financial concerns in front of us any longer. And we’re going to be spending a lot more time this Summer at our weekend house. It’s an awesome little chalet sort of spot with a gorgeous view and miles and miles of nature. This year, we upgraded the HVAC equipment with a ductless multi split heating and cooling system. The old central air conditioning was shot. From the HVAC equipment to the ductwork, it was done. So I’m really looking forward to the awesome cooling comfort we’ll be enjoying this Summer.
