Work retreat – awful drive with coworkers

I’m actually not the type of lady that you would consider extroverted or friendly.

It’s not that I hate other people, however I am hastily tired by interacting with them.

I do not know how other folks manage to uphold busy social lives afternoon after afternoon after afternoon. I am worn out by other humans within moments of conversing with them. And this is why I was severely uneasy about going on a work retreat with my co-workers. Especially when I found out my nice friend and I had to carpool. So began the most uncomfortable ride of my life..; Partially because of the social environment in addition to partially because of the indoor air temperature. As soon as I climbed into the car I realized that it was severely drafty. Sitting next to the window, I was being blasted with freezing air as my nice friend and I drove down the highway. I felt like there was no glass in the window with the amount of ice freezing air that was passing over my body. I double checked several times that the indoor air quality control unit was being utilized. Sure enough, the car had the heat cranking on blast. There was no way to get more high quality indoor heat into the vehicle. I also was firmly bundled with so several layers of clothing that I could barely move. Somehow, I was still chilly. I spent the entire trip trying not to complain about the poor indoor air quality control in addition to air temperature management system. I also use my extra energy to contain my shivering to myself. If anyone heard me speak up on the entire drive, it was just my teeth chattering.
