Work retreat – terrible drive with coworkers

Somehow, I was still freezing

I’m entirely not the type of man that you would consider extroverted or friendly. It’s not that I dislike other people, even though I am hastily sleepy by interacting with them. I do not know how other folks manage to uphold busy social lives day after day after day. I am worn out by other humans within moments of conversing with them. And this is why I was extremely worried about going on a labor retreat with my co-workers. Especially when I found out my good friend and I had to carpool. So began the most uncomfortable ride of my life..! Partially because of the social environment & partially because of the indoor air temperature. As soon as I climbed into the car I realized that it was extremely drafty. Sitting next to the window, I was being blasted with cold air as my good friend and I drove down the highway. I felt like there was no glass in the window with the amount of ice cold air that was passing over my body. I double checked many times that the indoor air quality control component was being utilized. Sure enough, the car had the heat cranking on blast. There was no way to get more high quality indoor heat into the vehicle. I also was firmly bundled with so several layers of clothing that I could barely move. Somehow, I was still freezing. I spent the entire trip trying not to complain about the bad indoor air quality control & air temperature management system. I also use my extra energy to contain my shivering to myself. If anyone heard me speak up on the entire drive, it was just my teeth chattering.
