You might need to top off your freon!

I find myself being unnecessarily lazy about very small things. I’ll buy plastic silverware and paper cups and plates just to avoid doing dishes, when I have a full set of dishes and silverware to use. I will hire a lawn mower service when I have a perfectly functional lawn mower in my garage and plenty of time to spare on the weekends. But there is another way that I was unnecessarily lazy for a very long time recently. My air conditioner didn’t seem to be putting out the cooling that it had been before. I noticed a gradual loss of cool air over time. I simply tried to set the thermostat lower and lower. After a few weeks of this, it got to the point where It was very obvious that little to no cool air was being generated from the vents. I ended up opening the windows in the cool of the evening instead of addressing the problem. One night, it was so hot and muggy that I was tossing and turning in a puddle of sweat in my bed, and I realized how foolish I was being. After all, the air conditioner may need a simple fix. I called a repairman and it did not take him very long to tell me that I needed my freon recharged. It turned out to be only a couple hundred dollars and my air conditioner was working like new once more. That night, as I basked in the coolness flooding from the air vents, I felt quite foolish for putting off such a simple problem!
