Ductless mini split units are used in modern homes

Yesterday, while driving home, I needed to pull over to make a conference call.

  • I had some family members with me in my car and while I stopped, they decided to get out of the car for a bit.

I pulled over into a new subdivision, which had a model home on display as you turned inside the complex. Of course, my family members decided they wanted to see the inside of the model home. Luckily, a nice lady was inside the model home and offered to give them a tour. I was unable to connect to my conference call, so I was ready to continue on our way. Well, I tried calling my family members, but they didn’t pick up their phones. So, I decided to step inside the model home to see what they were up to. As soon as I walked through the door of the home, I immediately fell in love with it. The open layout was everything and the gray hardwood floors throughout the house was icing on the cake. The home also had a fireplace, which is not something that is common for homes in this area, but it was decorated nicely and worked as an accent area for the home. One thing I noticed about the home is that they opted for a ductless mini split HVAC unit. In my head, I’ve always thought that the ductless mini split system was better for small areas and not to provide cooling and heating for an entire house. The model home had a bunch of air handlers throughout the house, and it felt pretty comfortable to me. Perhaps they are now manufacturing ductless mini split systems to provide heating and cooling for modern homes.
