HVAC crew changed my respiratory health for the better

It’s not easy for me to be sick.

For one, I just hate having to lay around with no energy and deal with the symptoms.

I also don’t like missing days working inside the zone controlled HVAC of my office either. Even when I do have to stay down inside the central air conditioning of my home when I’m sick, I still try to work a bit remotely. So when I get something that lingers, that’s when I know that I need to see a doctor. More and more over the last several years, it’s like a couple times a year I’ll get a cold that lasts for a few days but the respiratory effects last for a month. I’ll have a cough that I just can’t get rid of or something to that effect. And that’s what happened earlier this fall. I woke up feeling not so well so I made sure I tested for covid and it came back negative. So I stayed down inside the central air conditioning of my house for a few days before I felt like I could go back to the commercial HVAC of the office. But even when I was back to work, I just didn’t feel like myself and was constantly dealing with sinus congestion and coughing. So I ended up going to the doctor. My doctor really thought most of my problem had to do with the indoor air quality of my home. And she suggested the first thing I should do is get the ductwork cleaning done. She also suggested that once the ductwork cleaning was done that I replace my cheap HVAC air filter with a HEPA filter. I did just that and my respiratory symptoms vanished within about twenty four hours.
